Cheboygan Area Schools – Sunday Soup Newsletter
Week of December 1, 2025

Welcome Back!  I hope you had a good break and had a chance to recharge your batteries. Taking a “brain break” is essential, and it is healthy to rest and unplug when the opportunity arises.

As we move into December, we have just three weeks, 15 school days, until Winter Break. This also means we are nearing the end of the second quarter, nearing final exams, and the end of the semester, marking the halfway point of the school year.

My challenge to you for the next 15 days is to focus on your attendance. One of the strongest predictors of student success is simply showing up. If you are present every day, give your best effort, and stay engaged in class, the rewards, including stronger grades, will be a result of those daily choices.

Let’s finish the semester strong, together.

Quote of the Week: “It came without ribbons!  It came without tags! It came without packages, boxes, or bags!  Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn’t before!  Maybe Christmas, he thought, doesn’t come from a store.  Maybe Christmas…perhaps…means a little bit more!” – The Grinch
