Each day, we’ll focus on engaging topics, such as:


👩‍🍳 Teen Cuisine

Hands-on nutrition sessions. We have six options to work from:

  1. Eat Smart – An introduction to MyPlate.

  2. You Are What You Eat – Label reading and understanding portion vs. serving sizes.

  3. Power Up with Breakfast – Why breakfast matters and how to make it count.

  4. Find the Fat – Learn about “Go, Slow, Whoa” foods and where fats are found.

  5. Watch Out for Added Sugar – Explore sugar content, hidden sugars, and the “danger zone” of food temperature.

  6. Snack Attack – Discover healthy and satisfying snack options.


🧠 Life Skills & Mindfulness

Helping students to continue to develop essential life skills through mindfulness and child development activities:

  • Day 1: Mindfulness – Emotions
    Activity: Make a Calming Jar

  • Day 2: Child Development – Outdoor Exploration
    Activity: Nature Scavenger Hunt & Planting

  • Day 3: Mindfulness – Naming Feelings
    Activity: Create a Self-Portrait

  • Day 4: Child Development – Caring for Others
    Focus: How to engage with and care for younger children
