Subject: Tennis Court Renovation Bids – Request for Referrals: FYI – If you know of anyone who may be interested in submitting a bid for the renovation of our tennis courts, please let Steve and me know. Our goal is to receive at least 8 bids by the deadline: August 8th at 11:00 a.m. in the board room. To be considered, all bids must be submitted before that date and time. The summer expansion of Thunder Bay is coming along nicely! With continued good weather, the project is on track to be completed before the start of school. This will allow us to add another caregiver, enhancing and expanding our ability to serve the community.

Thank you to the COPESD Summer Work-Study Program for inviting us to the STEM Career Exploration Media Day yesterday at the Industrial Arts Institute in Onaway. It was a great opportunity to learn about the impactful work being done and the career pathways being offered to students throughout our region. And, to see some of our own student in Action!
More than 200 K–12 students in our area are participating in these programs. In Cheboygan alone, 37 students took part this summer, up from 24 students last year. We’re proud of this growth and are setting our sights even higher, to send 50 students next summer!

Power washing the HS courtyard today and tomorrow, fun! Next week we get to paint over the poke-a-dots, yeah! Then, in the fall, we can add some nice outdoor tables for the start of the 25-26 school year!

MSU Summer Camp Opportunity @ Cheboygan HS for 6-8 grade!
A huge shout out to the CIS custodians Chris, Bill, Andrew, Ruth and Robbie! They have been working tirelessly since school has ended. They have moved 23 teachers into new classrooms, along with cleaning the rooms, shampooing carpets and waxing floors. We are grateful for their hard work and dedication to make our building ready for next school year!
Had an amazing experience at Camp Grayling, as I was invited to the Educational Helicopter Flight by our Army National Guard recruiter, SSG Anderson. Top notch facilities and programs offered for our students.
