Very proud of the amazing students selected this evening at the school board meeting for February Students of the Month. Nominating teachers had amazing things to say about their high character and impact at Cheboygan High School.

Year two of Create by Design Workshop is well under way and the 1/25 scale 1968 Camaro Z28 model car continues to progress towards completion. Returning 7th grade members Gavin and Tom refine their stock versions of the kit. New 6th grade member Logan is methodically working thru his street machine version build. The team is developing skills in assembly, paint, gluing, trimming, and yes, occasional troubleshooting. Engine, drivetrain, suspension, body components and systems all come into play.
Stay Tuned for future updates!!
Mr. Tarjeft

Michigan State University came in today and did a kinesthetic impaired learning lesson in Mr.Mahoney’s Wellness and Health class. Students learned that being impaired really affects their motor skills. All students said they think nobody should drive while impaired, let alone even walk while impaired.

Take a look at 5th graders taking part in “spring training” and 6th graders engaged in their Archery unit in Mr. Burys PE class!

What an amazing night at Steelrock! We had a huge crowd come out to support the Junior and Senior boys. Great job by the coaches, Mrs. Knaffle and Mrs. Safford for announcing, and finally Mrs. Kane for officiating!

Students from the high school Intro to Teaching class came to CIS to read to our 3rd graders. Thank you Mrs Safford for making your students available.

Congratulations to our U12 Peewee hockey team for winning the Championship this weekend in the Shamrock Tournament in Port Huron!

Cheboygan High School was greeted by an amazing sunrise this morning. This helped tremendously with the difficult adjustment of moving clocks forward an hour.

Due to the extreme icy road conditions that have transpired throughout the night, Cheboygan Area Schools will be closed today.

The Drift Inn is preparing for their handmade beef/pork pasties to be ready for public consumption tomorrow. Please stop in between 11-1pm and try them!
