Our welding students are preparing to repair a fuel tank and putting their math skills to good use. They needed to determine the volume of the irregular shape tank so it can be cleaned and filled with inert Argon gas to make it safe for welding. This custom fuel tank holds almost 98 gallons. #GoChiefs!!

Thank you MASA for hosting the 2026 School Safety Summit today. We learned a lot, confirmed our safety goals, and are bringing some great ideas for improvement home to Cheboygan! Stay curious and always growing CAS!

CIS students were surprised with a phenomenal music assembly today! We are proud to be the FIRST school on Kanin Wren's tour 🎶 Her message of "Less Screen Time, More Dream Time" is such an important reminder for our students, and they absolutely loved the experience. Thank you, Kanin Wren, for inspiring our students to dream big and chase their passions!

Cheboygan High School students in grades 7-12th, along with Inverness Academy students, had the privilege of attending an assembly today to hear a motivational speech from coach Nightingale. He is currently coaching men's hockey at Michigan State University and has had quick success there. He will also be coaching the 2027 US National Junior Team. What an honor and privilege to hear his story and see our students learn such impactful life lessons. #GoChiefs!!

CAS was recently awarded the 61v CTE Expansion Grant! Today, we are in Lansing learning how we can use this grant to improve our CTE programing. The state awarded a total of 87 grants to 56 school districts throughout the state, awarding more than $24.2 million, specifically, for CTE expansion! We will be using the grant to offer a new exploratory program for grades 6-8! This program will offer several different learning opportunities/units, such as 3D printing, Drones, Robotics, CAD/Drafting, etc. Go Chiefs!
