East Elementary Renovation Project Update – July 17, 2026
Construction at East Elementary continues to move forward on schedule, with several important milestones completed this week. Framing and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) inspections for the next three restrooms were successfully passed, allowing wall tile installation to begin. Crews also poured concrete behind the stage, completed piping and welding for the two new boilers, and continue to install door frames, construct masonry work in the mechanical room, and install the new electrical panel.
Looking ahead, work will continue with framing and in-wall mechanical, electrical, and plumbing for the final restroom, installation of classroom ventilation units, construction of the mechanical mezzanine, roof replacement activities, mechanical exhaust fan installation, and the initial startup of the new boilers. Additional work scheduled over the next several weeks includes new luxury vinyl tile (LVT) flooring, painting, delivery of exterior metal panels, and foundation pull testing.
Next week's construction activities will focus on completing ductwork, drywall finishing, masonry work, structural steel installation, electrical panel and conduit work, and the start of the roof replacement.
Overall, the project continues to make steady progress, and we appreciate the hard work and dedication of the construction team as they move us closer to welcoming students and staff into a modernized learning environment.
