EMC Parent Meeting = Monday Night…
Monday, March 9: EMC – Early Middle College Informational Parent Meeting for 9th/10th grade parents at 6:00 PM in the High School Auditorium, with representatives from Alpena Community College present to assist in the presentation.

15 School Days till Spring Break!
For those longing for sunny days, spring break is right around the corner: March 30 through April 3! The last school day before break is Friday, March 27, which also marks the end of the 3rd Quarter. We return on Monday, April 6.
We have an entire week off, plenty of time to get away and book those southern vacation plans now!
East Elementary Renovations to begin over Spring Break!
You may have noticed the “staging” of construction equipment as we prepare for the 1.5-year renovation project at East Elementary. Work will begin over spring break and includes classroom demolition, HVAC and electrical upgrades, air-quality improvements, interior renovations, and outdoor additions.
Safety is our top priority. A temporary wall will separate construction areas from student areas, and first-grade drop-off/pick-up procedures will be adjusted. Much of the work will be scheduled around the school day where possible. Evening, weekend, and summer work will continue, with all East-based summer programs—including K-Camp—relocated to the CIS building. East Elementary will essentially be “off-limits” this summer.
We anticipate substantial completion by the start of the 2027–28 school year. Thank you for your continued support as we invest in East Elementary.
