Dear Cheboygan Area Schools Community,
Good Sunday Evening,
Thank you to the COPESD Summer Work-Study Program for inviting us to the STEM Career Exploration Media Day at the Industrial Arts Institute in Onaway. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn about the important work being done and the expanding career pathways available to students throughout our region. It was also great to see some of our own students in action!
More than 200 K–12 students in our area are participating in these programs. In Cheboygan alone, 37 students took part this summer—up from 24 last year. We’re proud of this growth and have set a goal to send 50 students next summer.
