Dear Parents and Students:

I had hoped that we would be returning to class on April 14th.  However, as the Covid-19 pandemic has gotten worse, that does not seem to be the case.  I believe that the Governor will make an announcement tomorrow that will close Michigan schools for the remainder of the year.  This brings about a very important question. How do we move forward with the rest of the year? I have meetings scheduled with all of the administrators on Friday to discuss how we will be able to provide education for the remainder of the school year.  This will probably vary, depending on grade level. Our goal will be to start a remote learning plan on Monday, April 13th. We will send out an alert when we have more details.

I know that there will be lots of other questions out there as well.  For example, what will we do about Graduation, will we be able to get our belongings from our lockers, will the food program continue?  At this time our plan is to have a Graduation ceremony, I am not sure when it will be at this point, but we will make every attempt to have one.  It may be awhile before we can let you in to get items out of lockers, but we will let you know when you will be able to get your belongings. The food program will continue.  Every Tuesday, we will continue passing out meals for our students. Each box of food contains 7 breakfasts and lunches. The times and locations will be posted on our website.

I will keep you updated as we progress with our continuous learning plan and answers to the many questions that will still need to be answered.

I hope that you all stay safe and healthy,

Paul Clark
